When you receive a Happy Candle, leave candle(s) on level surface uncovered for 24 hours to allow gel to even out as gel may shift, during shipping. Your candles will arrive with wicks trimmed to proper height. Keep wick trimmed to 1/4" will keep your candle burning cleaner and longer. Discontinue use when 1/4" of gel wax remains on the bottom of candle, this is for safety of the glassware to prevent any cracking. Please follow our burning instructions that are provided on the bottom of each gel candle.

Your candle has a memory. It is important to know that the first time you burn your candle you allow the melt pool to reach all sides of the container a good initial burn time is about 2-3 hours. So that the next time you burn your candle it will burn evenly. If you do not allow your candle to create a melt pool to all sides it will create a tunnel down the middle and that's how your candle will burn for the life of the candle.

For Best Burning Results - Burn Candle on a level heat resistant surface so jelly will burn evenly, also keep out of drafts and breezes so they will not burn lopsided. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not burn candle for more then 3-4 hours at a time.

Trimming the wick. After the candle is fully cooled down turn the candle upside down to trim to 1/4" this will keep the soot from falling into the candle.

Did you ever have a candle tunnel down the middle, leaving the sides untouched? This can be caused by 1 of 2 things: Not keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4" after every burn and insufficient initial burn time. Gel candles, like their wax counterparts need a good initial burn to establish themselves. First burns should be 2-3 hours long.

Please burn candles Safely!
